Voyage of the Vikings

This project explores how Viking raiders planned daring sea voyages, attacked coastal settlements, and built thriving new communities. From designing longships and plotting routes to choosing where to raid and settle, students will discover the strategies, challenges, and risks faced by these fierce traders and warriors. Along the way, they’ll uncover the balance between raiding for riches and trading for survival, while imagining what life was like in a Viking settlement.
